Theresa was born in Philadelphia and grew up with her five siblings in rural southern New Jersey. Her early loves include tennis and gardening, and she is now also passionate about hiking and world travels (which she usually undertakes as a solo backpacker). The compassion for the disabled she developed from a young age eventually led her to obtain an occupational therapy degree from Alvernia College in Reading, Pennsylvania, despite the personal financial challenges she faced.
After being stricken with a life-threatening illness for two years, Theresa was divinely healed and relocated to Colorado. When not relaxing in her creek-side log home with friends, she can be found collecting eggs from her hen house, tending to yard work or exploring the beautiful trails near her home in Colorado Springs. She regularly journeys back east to see loved ones and enjoys playing an active role in the lives of her many nieces and nephews.
Despite the unknowns, Theresa bravely walked away from her dream life and rewarding 15-year career as an occupational therapist when called by God to a higher purpose. Her faith and obedience have led her to pen her first book, a memoir entitled A Series of Red Carpets: From Believing to Knowing; its sequel, From Knowing to Serving, is anticipated for release in 2017. She has also created A Red Carpet Ministry to help share her message of courage and faith with the world in hopes of inspiring people to love both others and themselves more freely, live more fully and know Him more deeply.
